A top priority for us as a community is to love and serve those working in agriculture and living rurally.
Right now we have gathered a core group of farmers and producers and those passionate about the rural community to pray and discern how we can best practically outwork our heart and vision. We long to pastorally support those within our church community and those beyond our church who are most struggling whether that is with debt or isolation or any other challenge in rural life. If you are in need of support or are someone who is passionate about offering support and skills to this ministry to the farming community, please do get in touch by clicking the button below.
FARMERS LUNCHES
As a church we want to prioritise serving the farming community, including both those within our own community and beyond. This year we are starting “Farmers Lunches”: a simple concept of gathering four times a year hosted by a different farmer in our community to go for a farm walk, talk through opportunities and challenges they are facing as they seek to honour God with their farms, and pray for one another and share a meal together.
Faith, farming and food-justice
This Autumn (2025) and next Spring, Will and Pip Campbell-Clause will be running a series of three evenings through their charity – Cactus – exploring the connection between theology, farming and food justice in hope to inspire God- honouring practices within the church and equip the church to be a prophetic sign of hope in this area. The cohorts will take place at their farm near Yeoford.
Each evening we will watch a video together then have a dinner of locally grown produce and some discussions and prayer
