Responding to the Ukraine Refugee Crisis
As a church we want to live open lives - sharing who we are and what we have in order to draw others into the life of God. We want to play our part in standing prayerfully and practically with the most vulnerable at this time.
We are drawing together a team of those who are hosting Ukrainian refugees as well as others who would like to help welcome them into the community.
Practical Steps
We have prepared a short guide that aims to equip those in our church and the local community to respond to the refugee crisis with compassion and wisdom. This includes how to pray and give financially as well as how to sign up to host.
Connect With Others
We’re gathering a growing community of people who are either hosting refugees or exploring doing so as well as those who want to support - a place to ask for and share advice, help and prayer. If you have any questions please get in touch with Dan.
A Story of Hope
In the middle of March, Pete James caught up with St Basil’s member, Molly, on the important work International Justice Mission are doing on the border to protect those most at risk of human trafficking as a result of the crisis.
